Vintage Apple Macintosh SE | Keyboard | Mouse | Disks | for sale in New London, MN
Vintage Apple Macintosh SE | Keyboard | Mouse | Working | 4 MB RAM | SCSI SD Hard drive | Disks This computer was bought from a local electronics recycle shop. The hard drive wasn't working and floppy drive didn't eject, the computer had 2.5 MB of RAM with a (non exploded) original PRAM Battery in the holder.I have gone through the computer and cleaned it. I upgraded the RAM to 4MB (see picture of cut resistor in order for computer to recognize this amount of RAM), replaced the old battery with a new one, installed a different 800 drive that I've cleaned and lubed along with a BlueSCSI hard drive (this is a sd card solid state drive, like the SCSI2SD developed by a friend of mine). This computer had some scuffs and marks, but with some soapy water and elbow grease, it cleaned up nicely. This case is one of the better ones that I've seen as far as coloring goes, I would rate it "near excellent" for coloring. Please see the last picture with the two external floppy drives on top. One is platinum and the other very yellowed. The external drives ARE NOT INCLUDED in the sale, they only purpose of the last picture is for a color representation. Unit powers on with the familiar "ding". After the Happy Mac Disk Face, the desktop loads. You will see three HD icons, each has a 40 MB size. The one labeled System 6.0.8 has the full OS on it, another labeled System 7.1 has that OS installed and the other drive has a minimum boot version of the OS. All three drives have System, Apps, and Games folders on them. Apps include: After Dark, MacDraw, MacWrite, Microsoft Word, MacPaint, MAC 3D, MusicWorks, HyperCard and Speak (in case you'd like to sound like the late and great Stephen Hawking). There are some more, just not all listed. Please see picture.Games Folder include: MacGolf, MacYahtzee, Star Wars, Sim City, Prince of Persia, Tetris, Missile Command, Tetris, Lode Runner, Crystal Quest, Oregon Trail (Anna got bit by a snake!) Stratego, Checkers, Memory 2.0, Breakout, 3D Tic Tac Toe, IAGO, Hearts, the Zork Trilogy and more (please see picture).Serial Number: F7215J9M5011The screen is clear (waves are from photo, not how screen looks). This sale includes computer, power cord, keyboard with connection cord, mouse, three Apple stickers (one retro and two new) and three 800k floppy disks which have Dark Castle and Beyond Dark Castle on them. The floppy disks are disks that I have repurposed for you. You will need to boot off the disks to run either dark castle or beyond dark castle. Again, the external drives in the last picture are NOT INCLUDED with the sale. The candles are also not included in the sale.Everything is in working order. All the keys function with the keyboard having good action and spring. Both legs on the keyboard are in working order and not broken off. All the feet under the Macintosh are in tact. The clock, date, time and settings will stay in the control panel now that the battery has been replaced. Both ADB ports along with the external floppy drive port on the back have been tested and work. I have NOT tested the SCSI, printer, phone or external speaker ports.
